No words can describe how incredible the journey has been. The mentorship program has given me an opportunity to be part of a sisterhood that is led by an incredible woman who is destined for greatness. It has created a safe space for me to share my views and challenged me to get out of my comfort zone. I have learned the importance of being intentional in everything that I do as nothing happens by chance. Being part of the mentorship will not only help you to realize your potential but it will also expose you to a network that you never knew you needed in your personal branding journey. Thank you Nollie for the platform, may you continue changing peoples lives and may more blessings come your way.

The mentorship program has impacted my life positively both personally and professionally. Being a part of the Nollie Maoto Mentorship programme this year has been a truly transformative and life changing experience. I got the opportunity to meet and interact with a diverse group of vibrant, trailblazing women who are destined for great things. Nollie has a beautiful way of mentoring that gently nudges you from your comfort zone. You feel supported and held throughout the process. The individual sessions and the group masterclasses taught me a lot, and also served as revision for the concepts I was already well versed in. The networking opportunities introduced me to people outside my sector, that I would ordinarily not have interacted with. It has been a beautiful year of self-disruption, within a supportive, empowering and inspiring programme. Onward and upward to the Nollie Maoto Mentorship programme. May it grow from strength to strength and continue to inspire and empower African women.

Being Part of the Nollie Maoto Mentorship program 2023 Intentional Living has impacted both my career life and personal life. I can't express enough how much the mentorship program has impacted my personal growth. My mentor not only provided career guidance but also encouraged me to work on my leadership skills and personal development. The different people that Nollie partnered with also helped me with my finances, the life coach Dr Zsofia also helped with my personal development and also how to build myself as a brand. Through our regular conversations, I gained confidence, became a more effective communicator, became very intentional about my career and have attracted many promotion opportunities on the way. I learned to set and achieve ambitious goals, I saw great growth in my life and even people around me could spot the difference. . This mentorship journey changed the trajectory of my life and the best part was doing this with 20 phenomenal ladies who impacted me and showed me that it is possible to break glass ceilings. Thank you Nollie Maoto for starting this mentorship program, thank you for impacting my life in ways I never imagine. I pray that God bless you for the work you did for us as your mentees. You poured your heart out to us and we appreciate that.

To Whom It may concern. I am Gugu Dhlamini, Finance Manager for one of the leading asset management companies in South Africa, STANLIB. How I got to know Nollie, is simply from being “Inspired” by her. The key indicator is how I saw her pivot from a Finance and business career and shifting things in the data space. As I closely followed and observed her master her craft as a data specialist, I knew that I have met the right person to guide me to elevating my role from being a number cruncher to being able to tell the story behind numbers. Little did I know that yearning for growth and the decision to connect with Nollie would pivot all dimensions of my life. We spoke ‘all’ things with Nollie, and we never shy away from including God in all our moves. I really appreciated the professionals that Nollie has partnered with in the mentorship, as in my own capacity, I would not have been able to connect and network with them, nor even afford them, but I had all access to such caliber. The mentorship has shaped me to being a confident woman, to name a few, when everyone was being taught to find their voice, I learned the contrary; that I do have a voice, but I need to learn to manage it. My presence in the boardroom will never be the same after this journey. I have become confident and wiser to make sound decisions, some hard, like having to say ‘No’ in difficult situations, for my own benefit. I cannot cram my 10 months experience in a short testimonial, I hope if you wish for an ‘Intentional transformation and Intentional Journey” – I can only wish you the best to make it to the 2024 cohort. A glimpse into my inspiring mentor: she is an epitome of an individual who is effectively shifting things around for desirable outcomes in her workspace as a Chief Data Officer, whilst she is a present mom and wife, who adores her family. The ‘life changing’ mentorship is a further extension of her sympathetic leadership and inspiration, under the slogan “Living Intentionally”. Her graceful demeanor is what is so captivating about this phenomenal and intellectual woman. Nollie’s life is a ministry perpetrating inspiration, hope, resilience, nobleness, and many more found in her values. I was hungry for assistance in finding direction, defining my ‘Next’, finding my confident and bold voice, I got that and more. Thank you, Nollie, Stay Blessed!

I first heard Nollie speak at a data event I attended online. Her confidence and knowledgeable data talk had me listening in a little extra. As I do with people who stand out to me, I looked her up on LinkedIn and started following her. Sometime in 2022 I saw a video of Nollie's mentees testifying to how much she had impacted their lives and I thought I'd love to meet her in person and learn from her too! I applied for the Nollie Maoto Mentorship Program for 2023 and doubted I would be considered since I'm not in the same country as Nollie. To my delight I was selected and the rest is history! I now have met Nollie several times in person and have learnt so much from her and the people she facilitates for us to rub shoulders with - people I wouldn't have the chance to meet or learn from otherwise. I love the holistic approach Nollie and her program have. We have had access to career coaching, financial advice, life coaching, business lessons and even a whole vibe of a good time together. Best of all for me has been the God centredness of it all which for me is a huge part of my life. I'm so grateful for this opportunity which came at a time when I needed to expand my horizons and expand my horizons I have, thanks to Nollie.

This year is a harvest season, of the years of sowing we have been doing, since we started 2/3 years back. The 2022 programme for me, is about REAL TALK.
Much like with our parents, there comes a time when the relationship pivots from a top-down approach to a more horizontal one (slanted horizontal). But that I mean, now I have the foundation, I’ve learnt (and still learning) how to be seen and level up. Now our teachings have shifted to “The things they won’t tell you” – what it takes to fight through corporate politics and the importance of forming strategic alliances from within the organisation.
This year was about sharing personal experiences candidly and trusting each other with in-depth information, signalling a maturity in the relationship, without compromising on the integrity of the mentor/mentee relationship (I hope that makes sense)
I have begun to build a personal brand and the importance of being consistent with it. The more conscious I became, of who I want to be, the more discerning I became of
- who I bring along on my journey and
- how I respond to critics
I am thankful to you, Nollie and Your mentorship programme. It has taken away the burden of feeling alone and lonely along my journey and offered an invisible safety net, that has allowed me to fly and keep flying
Ncumisa Nhlapo
Being part of the Mentorship programme was a life transformation, the experience has truly shaped me into a well-rounded excelling, ambitious and confident woman.
Some key takeaways for me have been:
- To strive for excellence in everything I do. Let my work speak for itself.
- Confidence in my skills and talents. Before this I doubted myself a lot, now I am very aware of my abilities and am not afraid to let others know that they are there. Because I am more confident, I apply myself differently at work and the progress I have made because of this is very evident.
- Preparation leads to success. Nollie is the best planner I have ever met. She has taught me the power of planning every little detail of my life so that I can manage burnout and fatigue. This has been a game-changer.
- Self-awareness is power. We did a lot of personal branding and personal reflection work, this made me understand myself better and as a result, identify areas where I need to improve. As a result, I went back to school to do a post-grad in management after a long time. This is in line with the aspirations I have and the goal-setting I did in the programme.
- Support. Support. Support. Nollie and the entire 2022 cohort of the mentorship programme have been of great support to me. As a result, I had the courage to take bold steps in my career and life in general. Nollie is that big sister who will stand up to that bully in the park and also stand firmly behind you when it’s time for you to stand up for yourself.
She has been more than a mentor to me and the rest of the 2022 cohort, she’s a pillar of strength.

Being mentored by Nollie has been a mind-blowing experience!
It has always been difficult for me to find a mentor who would be willing to groom and mentor me. This was until I met Nollie, who created a safe space for women who wish to be exposed to a female leader who is challenging, mindful, versatile and a well-deserving award-winning powerhouse.
Nollie’s mentorship program offers a mixture of highly professional personal brand development, career strategizing, life coaching, networking, and the discovery of tremendous potential that she identifies in all of us, respectively.
I have since grown beyond my expectations and that of those around me all thanks to this mentorship program. Watching her pour her heart into the growth of her mentees triggered the common goal to get inspired and venture out as mentors ourselves. Meet Nollie, Get Inspired & Get Growing!”

I have learned a lot from the mentorship program, to mention a few; I have learned to broaden my perspectives and think outside of the box. I was short-sighted but when I met with Nollie she would interrogate my thoughts and ideas until I was able to see beyond boundaries. To date, I can proudly set goals and work on steps towards achieving them. The mentorship program has revealed the best in me, I have a brand that is well-represented!
Thank you, Nollie

The mentorship program by Nollie has impacted my life in such a positive way. Not only did I grow as a professional but as a person holistically. I achieved dreams that felt far from me and the advice received from Nollie has challenged me to take big moves and big steps. I took a career move that was scary yet I always dreamt of, leaving my permanent job to a term contracting role that was very rewarding financially. In the space of a few months of joining my team, I managed to stand out from a group of more than 30 Analysts & I was promoted to team lead. Nollie advised that you do the job before you get the title & this is what I’ve practised hence I was nominated for the role.
Thank u Nollie, for not just being an inspiration but directly pouring wisdom and knowledge into my life. Thank u for the master classes and for always showing endless support.
God bless you.

I alone was unsure of my journey and also unsure of the power I hold until I came into the program. I now invest more in gym, spending time with family without gadgets, reading (oh the power of reading), studying further and overall growing in my career (it no longer feels like a job). I’ve learnt to love myself inside out, to close out the world when it’s too noisy. Nollie you made my relationship with God more than just a two way street, we are now intentionally doing things without feeling like an obligation.
With tears in my eyes, i am now dreaming bigger and unleashing more of who i am.

When I joined the mentorship program I thought it was just going to be guidance on career path and things work related however when you are in Nollie’s presence you get a sister and a friend and she exposes you to her network of leaders and sisterhood. In the 10 months that I’ve been on this program we have written a letter to God of which most of the requests submitted to Him have been answered. She has shifted my mindset in such a way that helped me deal with an illness that I’ve been struggling with for over 2 years. She has helped me find my voice, as a result now have courage to knock on doors which previously thought were not meant for me. My leadership skills improved, after one homework that she gave to us as her mentees which made me introspect, unlearn and relearn ways to connect with my team.

While the mentorship program was challenging and required me to do a lot of self-introspection on my career and personal life, it also allowed me to grow in all aspects of my life. There are a lot of highlights to the program; one that comes to mind is the workshop about branding that Nollie created which taught me how to build my brand and make myself visible. There are small traits that one takes for granted that actually mild you as an individual such as how to make yourself visible in meetings, asking questions on platforms and being intentional about what you are doing. Not only has this mentorship program taught me to be goal-oriented but I also got to speak in a forum about Data and Analytics careers which was one of the best moments in my life. The program also taught me “For the relationship to be a success, both parties need to invest the time and be committed to holding up their responsibilities in the relationship”.
